Frances Halbrook Hensley Animal ShelterThe Frances Halbrook Hensley Animal Shelter is named after the late gracious Ms. Frances H. Hensley. This shelter is the first of its kind for this community and it was the dream and vision of Ms. Frances. She unselfishly sacrificed everyday essentials in order to leave all she could for this shelter. It is her legacy. We are a 501(c)(3) private no-kill shelter funded solely by this estate. Once the estate is exhausted, funding will come from donations and possible grants. It is my goal that every fur baby that comes through the doors receives every advantage possible. Just because they are in a shelter environment doesn't mean they do not deserve the best. These fur babies do deserve the best and they deserve that loving fur-ever home.

Neonatal Kitten RescueEvery kitten season, thousands of motherless kittens are at risk of death on the streets and in animal shelters. Without a mother to care for them, kittens face impossible odds, and can’t survive without specialized care.
Neonatal Kitten Rescue is on a mission to end the killing of neonatal kittens–and to give every kitten a chance at a full life. We are building a safer world for the tiniest felines by rescuing individual orphans in need, providing hands-on care to save their lives, and preparing them for adoption into loving homes. Neonatal Kitten Rescue offers around-the-clock feeding, medical care, and a warm, safe haven to neonatal, injured, and special needs kittens ages 6 weeks and younger. Neonatal Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) kitten rescue that is 100% volunteer and foster home-based |
